Likes
Broadband access, Bluetooth and phone-as-modem support, intuitive phone dial/answer, 1.3MP camera, excellent keyboard, very good multimedia support, overall ease of use, Mac support.
Dislikes
No Wi-Fi support, skimpy RAM, no multitasking as on 700w, no voice dialing over Bluetooth.
Good for
Current Treo users looking to move up to broadband access and more robust multimedia support. Mac users looking for official support.
Bad for
PC-centric users should look to the 700w, which runs Windows Mobile and also supports Wi-Fi, for broadband access outside of EV-DO coverage areas.

PC Magazine "Palm's new Treo 700p may look like older Treos, but it is loaded with internal improvements that Treo fans have been waiting for. The 700p, available in two versions (for Verizon and Sprint; we tested the latter), adds high-speed EV-DO networking, a better camera, and updated software to our Editors' Choice Palm Treo 650. That's enough to keep Palm in the lead for the best-balanced, easiest-to-use smartphone in the USA."
Palm Infocenter "With heavy internet usage and a few phone calls a day and Bluetooth on all the time, I am able to go roughly 2-3 days on a single charge, impressive for a high-end phone. Battery life was comparable to the 650, but the EV-DO use seems much more power hungry, and with a lot of net usage I saw my time between charges drop. I also felt I got better battery life out of 700p than with the 700w, but battery life varies greatly with how you personally use the device and features. As an example, when on flights (wireless off for most of the time) I can watch about 3 hours of video and play a few games and still have around 40% battery life left when I land."
