The JiWire WiFi Hotspot Finder for AvantGo is an easy-to-use handheld application that gives you the flexibility to find hotspots anywhere you are, even when you're offline.
You can even plan ahead for your next trip. Simply enter the addresses and zip codes where youll be traveling, and each time you sync your handheld, youll have the most up-to-date hotspot information.
The Hotspot Finder works with any device that's compatible with AvantGo's mobile software for handhelds and PDAs. A complete list of compatible systems can be found on AvantGo's account setup page.
Click the Download Now button to install the JiWire Hotspot Finder for AvantGo. If you already have an AvantGo account, the Hotspot Locator will be installed on your handheld the next time you sync. If you don't yet have an account, you'll be guided through the account setup and software installation process.
1. After you've installed the JiWire Hotspot Finder, you can perform searches much like you would on the JiWire website. Just click on the Hotspot Search link.
2. Enter a starting location and radius to search. You can specify a street address, city-and-state combination, or zip code. You can change the country in which the search is performed using the country drop-down menu countries are listed by their two-digit ISO code.
3. The next time you sync, JiWire will download details on the closest hotspots that match your search criteria for up to five locations.
4. To see results, open the JiWire Hotspot Locator, and click on the Hotspot Search link to get to the search page. Links to your search results appear at the top of the page.
