The JiWire WiFi Hotspot Finder for cell phones is easy to use and gives you the flexibility to find hotspots anywhere you are, directly from your cell phone.
There's nothing to download or install, and no additional charges. You can easily search for hotspots in one of two ways: via 4INFO's website in your cell phone browser or by text messaging to 4INFO (44636). Cellular access charges apply, but there is no additional fee to use this free 4INFO service.
1. Launch your phone's browser and bring up the screen that allows you to manually enter a website address. Enter wap.4info.net, just as you would in a Web browser on your PC.
2. Type in the word "hotspots" along with your desired search area, such as a city name, city and state, zip code, or telephone area code. Click the Search button to start your search.
3. Each search result is listed with its street address and hotspot access charges ("Pay" or "Free"). The results also contain links to each hotspot location's phone number and driving directions. Clicking the phone number will call that location, while clicking "Directions To" brings up the driving directions page.
4. For driving directions, enter a street address, and city and state or zip code, and then click the "Get Directions" button.
5. Step-by-step driving directions are presented on the next page. To email these directions to yourself or another person, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Email link.
If your phone does not have a browser, simply type your search into a text message -- for example, "hotspots san francisco"and send it to 44636. 4INFO will send a text message back with your search results.
